Our championship season is now in full swing. Both Varsity 4As qualified for the grand finals at the MACRA championship and all boats enetered finished in the top three of their heats at the Dad Vail Regatta. See the results page for more information. Our season will conclude at the ACRA Championship in Gainesville, Georgia. 
On April 21, the men's teams travelled downstate to compete against the Univeristy of Illinois and Wheaton College.
Meanwhile the women's teams stayed home to compete against North Park University, University of Chicago, and Wheaton College.

Our Spring Racing Schedule has been finalized. Our upcoming regattas are: 4/14/12: Home vs. U. of Chicago 4/21/12: Illini Spring Invitational (Men Only) 4/21/12: Home vs. North Park U. (Women Only) 4/28/12: MACRA Championship 5/11/12: Dad Vail Regatta 5/26/12: ACRA Championship At the conclusion of our spring training trip to Camp Bob Cooper in South Carolina, Northwestern Crew travelled to the 1996 Olympic course in Gainesville, GA to compete at the John Hunter Regatta. All teams had successful races, led by the Novice Women's 4+, which won its flight and finished 4th overall in a field of 27. Additionally, the Varsity Women's 4+ qualified for finals by finishing 2nd in its 6 boat heat, while the Varsity Men's 4+ narrowly missed qualifying for finals, finishing 3rd in its 7 boat heat. Congratulations to Senior Kate Shepherd, who set the event record in the Open Women's 500m sprint at the Chicago Indoor Rowing Championship with a time of 1:36.8, three seconds faster than the second place finisher and nearly 10 seconds faster than the third place finisher. |
